Hello & Welcome to FLICK!
We are so excited to introduce ourselves to the Auburn and Central New York communities. The Finger Lakes Incubator & Commercial Kitchen (FLICK) was born from a simple yet powerful vision:
to strengthen our local food system by supporting the farmers, producers, and entrepreneurs who make it thrive.
Over the past three years, we’ve had the privilege of running some amazing community programming, including our summer Youth Culinary Program, which wrapped up its third—and most successful—year in August. Through this program, we’ve been able to teach young people basic cooking skills, with a focus on life skills and locally sourced, culturally diverse meals. Seeing the kids develop a love for cooking and food has inspired us even more to expand what we offer to the community.
What’s Next for FLICK?
With the momentum from our successful summer programming, we are now taking a bold step forward: we’re building a shared-use commercial kitchen space right here in Auburn, NY. This space will be the heart of our efforts to provide resources for local food entrepreneurs, farmers, and producers, while also offering recreational cooking programs for the community.
Our vision is to create a vibrant hub where food businesses can grow, families can come together to cook and learn, and our entire community can be uplifted through the power of food. We want FLICK to be a place where everyone has the opportunity to be part of a strong, sustainable local food system.
